The Submersable Amber Spyglass

Good summery of Foster's interactive campaign here. Cool idea well executed that communicates a product benefit. Very much like the Kronenbourg TV ads, but more digital i.e. cooler.

When Brands get YouTube

A user took some video screen capture of a glitch in the Tiger Woods golf title from EA showing how the ball could be played by walking over a water hazard and swinging as if the pond were dry land.

EA noticed the video, then produced and posted the video response below. Good to see a company taking notice of its userbase and carrying on the conversation rather than producing some kind of "official response".

Kudos.

AFTERimg

The nature of our visual system allows us to sometimes see "after-images" which appear once the original stimuli are removed. In the following demonstration, you will see that the colors in after-images are usually the opposite (complementary) colors of the original.

Stare at the black spot in the center of the four colored squares for about 30 seconds. Then scroll down and move your gaze to the black spot in the uniform white area.

Mirror++

Mirror++ by Juha Huuskonen makes crazy musical kaleidoscopes from whatever its wall mounted camera can see. Installed in the museum of modern art, Helsinki, the viewer can walk into the spotlight and create their own interactive artwork, bringing image and performance together.

Below is a film of me having a play whilst on holiday!
